KUALA LUMPUR (March 24): MBSB Bank Bhd will temporarily close 15 of its branches, effective tomorrow until the movement control order (MCO) ends on March 31.
In a statement today, the bank said this was an effort to reduce the risks of exposure to Covid-19 among its customers and employees.
MBSB said the remaining 31 branches opened will be able to support the temporary closure of the identified 15 branches.
“Customers are advised to visit MBSB Bank branch nearest to the ones closed to perform their banking transactions.
“However, account opening services remain temporarily suspended to avoid close contact.
“Customers are also highly encouraged and advised to use the bank’s self-service banking or M Journey online banking, to conduct transactions,” it said.
MBSB Bank assured its customers and the public at large that there will be no disruptions to any of its services, as the bank has emplaced a sound business continuity plan to ensure the smooth functioning of its operations.
