Malaysia bans public gatherings of over 250 people to curb COVID-19 spread

(March 12): The Government will be banning public gatherings of over 250 people in a bid to contain the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus, said Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Special Functions) Datuk Seri Mohd Redzuan Md Yusof.

Malaysia will also impose a travel ban on Denmark, which is currently under lockdown.

In addition, it will introduce standard operating procedures to prevent infections in schools.
