K-One acquires 30% stake in security services firm for RM8.7 mil

KUALA LUMPUR (March 17): K-One Technology Bhd has proposed to acquire a 30% stake in security consultancy and services company AHM Consultancy & Security Services Sdn Bhd for RM8.7 million.

In a filing with the stock exchange, the company said it is acquiring the stake from Datin Sri Fuziah Mohd Nor, Datuk Mohammad Fadzllee Mustapa and Mohammed Fadzlan Mustapa.

AHM is involved in the provision of security consultancy and services, with major clients comprising government agencies and government-linked companies.

K-One said the acquisition of AHM would give rise to synergistic benefits.

"K-One will use its technology expertise to enhance and complement AHM's provision of security services to its customers.

"It will work with AHM to lace the conventional security service with technology such as enhancing the monitoring of security guards and strengthening the security of the premises via hardware cum software applications to improve productivity and added safety," it said.

K-One closed up 1.5 sen or 7.3% at 22 sen, giving it a market capitalisation of RM114.21 million.
