KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 23): Malaysia is among four countries added to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) growing list of highest-risk destinations for travel on Tuesday.
The CDC places a destination at "Level 4: Covid-19 Very High" risk when more than 500 cases per 100,000 residents are registered in the past 28 days.
Besides Malaysia, the other three destinations added to Level 4 on Feb 22 were Bhutan, Brunei and Iran.
All four destinations were previously at "Level 3: Covid-19 High" risk last week.
“Avoid travel to Malaysia.
“If you must travel to Malaysia, make sure you are vaccinated and up to date with your Covid-19 vaccines before travel,” the CDC said on its website.
