KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 28): Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) is holding an online auction of ringgit banknotes with special serial numbers under a six-day scheme, which ends today.

In a statement on Thursday, BNM said the auction, which began on Monday, is being conducted by MNP Auctioneers (Central) Sdn Bhd, the central bank’s appointed auctioneer.

"Ringgit banknotes with special serial numbers, such as sets of the first 10 banknotes (e.g. CC0000001-0000010) and super solid numbers with repetitive prefixes (e.g. CC3333333), will be auctioned,” BNM said.
