Bank Negara and all banks in Kuala Lumpur to remain open on Dec 3

KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 2): Bank Negara Malaysia announced on Thursday that the regulator and all banks, including branch operations, in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur will be open and operating as usual on Friday (Dec 3).
“In this regard, financial market transactions in the foreign exchange, money and over-the-counter bond markets will continue to function as usual,” the central bank stated in a release on Thursday.
A public holiday for the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan was announced by the federal territories minister on Wednesday.
