KUALA LUMPUR (July 1): Ajinomoto (M) Bhd has appointed Tomoharu Abe as the food and seasoning manufacturer’s new managing director effective today.

The group said Abe, 52, replaces Naoko Yamamoto who had been reassigned to another post by parent company Ajinomoto Co Inc.

“Abe joined Ajinomoto Japan in 1992 and began his career with the Tokyo branch. He has since held various positions in Japan and overseas within the Ajinomoto group of companies,” the group said in a stock exchange filing.
