KUALA LUMPUR: Government-owned Agrobank announced yesterday that Public Service Department director-general Tan Sri Mohamad Zabidi Zainal had been appointed its chairman.
In a statement, Agrobank said the appointment, effective last Friday, had received approval from Bank Negara Malaysia.
Mohamad Zabidi has over 37 years of experience in the public sector. In his three decades of service, he has held several high-level positions, such as deputy secretary-general (finance) of the health ministry, Perlis state secretary and Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit director-general.
Agrobank also appointed three new independent non-executive directors, namely agriculture and agro-based industry ministry secretary-general Datuk Seri Dr Ismail Bakar, Datin Setia Shahariah Hashim and Puan Azizah Abdul Rahman.
