(Apr 15): PKR vice-president Tian Chua today urged Umno Youth to stop attacking Low Taek Jho, saying Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak had already denied the businessman's involvement in debt-ridden 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).

He said the wing's demand that authorities investigate Low, who is also known as Jho Low, clearly contradicted with consistent denials from various quarters, including Najib, on his relationship with 1MDB.

"Why is Umno Youth attacking Jho Low when there were consistent denials by Putrajaya and 1MDB?" the Batu MP said at the PKR headquarters in Petaling Jaya today.

Tian Chua said the public has the right to know if Jho Low was really involved with 1MDB operations and if so, it would show that Najib had not been telling the truth.

"I urge prime minister to come out again to clarify, and Umno Youth should lower their guns if the PM told them that Jho Low has nothing to do with it.

"Go after someone else, maybe the CEO or Board of Directors and stop creating all sorts of debate without making any progress in the auditing of 1MDB," he said. – The Malaysian Insider
