KUALA LUMPUR (May 6): Khazanah Nasional Bhd today announced the appointment of three new directors as part of its ongoing and periodic strengthening of its senior leadership team.
Khazanah in a statement today said the new appointments are Omar Siddiq Amin Noer Rashid from CIMB Group Holdings Bhd, Javier Santiso from Telefonica and Latifah Daud.
It added that the latest changes and additions to its senior leadership team supplement the ongoing institution building efforts which remain a key focus at Khazanah.
"With this announcement, Khazanah’s senior leadership team, led by managing director (MD) (Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar) increases from 17 to 20 members," it said.
Omar Siddiq, who is currently MD and regional head of technology, media, telecoms and aviation in the investment banking division of CIMB Group will rejoin Khazanah on July 1 as its executive director of investments, said Khazanah.
He was previously a director at Khazanah from 2008 to 2010, it added.
The other two directors, Javier Santiso will join Khazanah from Aug 1, 2015, as executive director of investments, while Latifah Daud will start her role as director and head of strategic human capital management from April 1.
Javier who is currently MD of global affairs and new ventures at Telefonica will be based in Khazanah’s London office.
Khazanah also announced that its director and head of corporate and support services (CSS) Mohamed Nasri Sallehuddin has been promoted to executive director. Mohamed Nasri continues his role as head of CSS.
