Sapura Energy chairman Shamsul steps down from nomination, remuneration committees

KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 29): Sapura Energy Bhd announced that its chairman Tan Sri Shamsul Azhar Abbas had resigned from both its nomination and remuneration committees, according to bourse filings on Wednesday.

The group said the 69-year-old's resignation as a member of the committees will be effective on Oct 1.

Meanwhile, the group has appointed Datuk Iain John Lo, 59, as a member of both the nomination and remuneration committees while redesignating him as the chairman of the risk committee.

According to the filings, following the appointment of Lo, Datuk Ramlan Abdul Rashid will step down as the chairman of the risk committee.

At 4pm, shares in Sapura Energy were half a sen or 4.17% lower at 11.5 sen, with a market capitalisation of RM1.84 billion.
