KUALA LUMPUR (June 22): Omesti Bhd has secured a three-year contract for the leasing of personal computers for Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB), amounting to RM25.31 million.

In a local bourse filing, the software and application developer said its indirect 51%-owned subsidiary Formis Network Services Sdn Bhd accepted the award from TNB on June 21.

The contract will also commence on June 21, according to the group.

“The award is expected to contribute positively to the revenue, earnings per share and net assets per share of Omesti Group and is not expected to have a material effect on the gearing of Omesti Group for the financial year ending March 31, 2023 (FY23) onwards until the expiry of the TNB contract,” it said.

This is the only recent announcement relating to Omesti’s core operations. In March, Omesti further expanded its healthcare joint ventures with the setting up of a laboratory capable of testing which include Covid-19 PCR tests, as well as to bid for medical and laboratory supply tenders.

Shares in Omesti closed one sen or 2.63% lower to 37 sen on Wednesday (June 22), valuing the group at RM195.05 million.
