AirAsia X group CEO Nadda Buranasiri resigns

KUALA LUMPUR (April 1): AirAsia X Bhd group chief executive officer (CEO) Nadda Buranasiri has resigned from the position on Friday (April 1) due to his resignation as CEO of Thai AirAsia X Co Ltd, according to AirAsia X's Bursa Malaysia filing on Thursday.

According to the long-haul budget airline's website, Nadda was appointed group CEO of AirAsia X on Nov 1, 2018.

The 59-year-old Thai citizen was appointed Thai AirAsia X CEO in 2014, according to AirAsia X.

On Friday, AirAsia X's share price settled unchanged at 65 sen at Bursa's 12:30pm break for a market value of about RM269.63 million based on the company's 414.81 million outstanding shares.

AirAsia X's 414.81 million outstanding shares is the result of the  consolidation of every 10 existing shares in the company into one share.

In a Bursa filing on Feb 14, 2022, AirAsia X said it had on that day completed its share consolidation following the listing and quotation of the 414.81 million consolidated shares on Bursa's Main Market then.
